She May be the face I can't forget The trace of pleasure or regret May be my treasure or the price I have to pay

She May be the song that summer sings May be the chill that autumn brings May be a hundred different things Within the measure of a day

She May be the beauty or the beast May be the famine or the feast May turn each day into a heaven or a hell

She may be the mirror of my dreams The smile reflected in a stream She may not be what she may seem Inside her shell

Life without colors?
11.30.06 (8:50 pm)   [edit]

Do you sometimes get the feeling that life is a routine and that things are always the same with no new excitement or stuffs that will interest you enough? Do you sometimes imagine that if you can choose a color to represent yourself, it may very well be grey? Well, that's basically me and i am sure Yin will agree since i vividly remember you describing me as a "gray". I have been out most nights after work, catching up with friends ever since my exams were over and i just might be getting tired of that but there i am, just piling more and more activities into my untidy schedule. Life is what we make it to be.

My Turkish friend told me a couple of days ago that i should not expect so much from life, then, i will feel satisfy and not think that life is colorless. (im sorry to laugh but...) I do not agree with that at all. Does that means that there's a demanding streak in me? Oh dear, please do not tell me so. Please do not tell me this is only it and to accept it with thanks. Oh well, tell me if it will helps.

See that contradiction? *shru gs*

Does good things happen to those who are good?
11.21.06 (10:53 pm)   [edit]

Does good things happen to those who are good? Is it possible to be absurdly happy for no reasons at all? I woke up feeling like i always do this morning and the day just improved tremendously as it went on. Maybe, sometimes when one keeps an open mind, one will be happier and then, good things will start to follow through too. My night just got better coz i recieved an unexpected call from a friend, someone who is capable of making me grin silly.

At a time like this, i seriously count my blessings. Smile

Ship Inspection & Luncheon
11.12.06 (5:12 pm)   [edit]

So last Thursday, Sapphire Princess arrived at Singapore and we had a ship inspection as well as luncheon onboard the Princess with the travel agents. I was pleasantly surprised at the registration counter when I saw Hazel (my ex-superior) attending this event. It feels different to be back onboard, everything is familar yet different. We managed to catch a few familar faces though, and that was nice.:) Well then, below are some pictures of the day's event. Enjoy~

Dalian & the last 2 nights onboard Sapphire
11.08.06 (11:06 pm)   [edit]
Hi guys, I am so so so lazy to update my blog but this being the last 2 nights of onboard events, i guess i should put up the pics coz they were special nights (sort of anyway). Well, another reason that motivated me to blog is because i received an email from the very charming Mr. Kazama. I am quite positive that he have no idea how to read English and i most definitely have difficulties reading Japanese characters. That, however, is the way we are starting to communicate to each other through emails. At the present moment though, i am still excited from receiving his first email with all the unknown content which hopefully, i will be able to decipher soon. Wink

Tomorrow, Sapphire Princess will be arriving in Singapore and we will be conducting a ship inspection cum' luncheon onboard. My superior describe the scenario akin to us returning home,(i guess a cosy sanctuary will be more like itTongue out) and well, i guess i am really glad "She" will soon be here!

Another good news that i would like to share with all is with regards to my studies. The good thing is my exams for the semester are over so its officially play time + i am looking forward to meeting some friends which I had neglected (sorry guys!) during the past few months.

Well then, i also hope that Friday comes soon. *smiles widely*

*Our last formal night with delicious lobsters~

*Yummy mexican beer - 2X recommended by our cute Mexican waiter.

*Charmed by Mr. Mexican and culturally his-ways.

*The chance to create the Champagne Fountain with the Captain...

 *While everyone dances away~

 *Beauty are short-lasting...

*We were at Dalian & see the scarf i was exhibiting? It was from Chan.Smile

*This is the lovers' bridge. In Dalian, it had became a tradit ion for wedding couples to travel and complete this stretch of uphill & downhill route as a vow of their love for each other and signifying that they will walk together to the end of times. Romantic, isn't it?

  *The lighthouse intrigues me*

*That's the cute pizza guy. He makes terrific pizza and the fact that he has a cute smile made it so hard to resist going to the pizza almost every other day! I swore that i have to get a picture of him before we disembark, and (hehe), here's a pic of us 3 taken on the last evening onboard.

 *The very charming Mr. Kazama

*Touched* I finally coaxed a smile out of Elvis for this shot. It was not easy!

*Our last dinner onboard at Sapphire Princess's Pacific Moon with chocolate writings, nice crew and charming company.

Big World, small me.
11.05.06 (10:55 pm)   [edit]
Sometimes, I get this feeling. A feeling whereby the world out there is so so vast. There are so many people out there i missed, at different parts of the world i wish i could be there, doing different things I wish i can join in... and I feel so small and protected in my own little world at home. At times like this, i wish i could be anywhere, ev erywhere, but here. Do you get that kind of feelings too?

Boredom & Laziness - Potent Combination
11.04.06 (11:26 am)   [edit]

I'm bored. I have stuff to do but I'm lazy. Precisely, because I refused to do anything because I'm lazy, that's why I'm bored. Does that make any sense? It's similar to me telling Peggy how I wanna go out but I don't feel like going out. She said I don't make sense. Sigh, this is just so KaZ-like. *shrugs*

Maybe it is time to do something to my hair.

Day 9 & 10 - ShangHai
11.04.06 (11:19 am)   [edit]

On our first day at Shanghai, we went on a Princess shore excursion tour to Suzhou. I heard that Suzhou are famous for having Suzhou beauties and that was one ofthe main reason i wanted to visit. Nonetheless, i have to say i am greatly disappointed. The guys were better looking though so *shrugs*. Guess what? I even saw a love vending machine that dispenses condoms on the sidewalk of a street. How liberating China has became~ I'm starting to fall in love with China!

*In a tiny boat sailing the Grand Canal or part of it*

*We were at the Emperor's grave. Kids in Korea are so cute and friendly. It's all about innocence~ See them holding hands? I hate to compare but where can you find this in S'pore these days? Kids are so not friendly towards their opposite sexes here.

 *Look at those squids!

 *Literally? Pigs' head.

 *Caged-up poor babies

*We were late at returning to the port but luckily the ship waited for us. Phew!

2nd Formal Night onboard Sapphire Princess
11.02.06 (11:00 pm)   [edit]

This was our 2nd formal night. Having eaten yummy pizza at 1700 hrs in the evening, we were too full to go for dinner. Nonetheless, taking into consideration young, pretty gals should dress up when the opportunity is right, we decided to dress up and go find some new friends for a drink. Tongue out In the pictures below, we were joined by friends like the shore excursion desk officer from India, the art director who manns the art gallery, from England, a nd another travel manager from China.

I have been told that I am a traditional chinese gal who seems to hold virtue values that are rare even in China (in modern days). Hmm.. very inspiring indeed huh? Somehow the china friend just thought so. *Shrugs* There goes one more person who think of me as a innocent little gal. Why do i always get that comment? I supposed it's meant to be a compliment huh? I have no idea what to think.

Anyway, it was an interesting night after which, made me almost swear off alcohol for the rest of the voyage. *Yin dear...Red Alert (Ps: dun puke)*

 *With Alex

 *Priscilla & Alex

*That's Russell & i am so not drunk!

 *Group @ the Wheelhouse*

On my way home
11.01.06 (11:29 pm)   [edit]

I love walking home from the MRT, passing through those long stretches of trees. The air smelt so good today and the smile on my face felt even better. As i was walking, i was trying to decide what to put in my blog today and I recalled *the dance*. I can't remember which night it was but there was once whereby I was watching couples dancing at The Wheelhouse (onboard Sapphire) when a Jap uncle asked me to dance. After refusing him because i dont know how to, i was literally dragged onto the dance floor. *Laughs* He was a very good dancer indeed and a nice gentleman. Thus, there i was twirling and swirling around the dance floor with my oldest pair of jeans. *What a nice and joyful dance it is. Embarassed I guess i can finally say that i have danced at least one proper dance in my life now (the rest with people groping doesn't count --- scratch that). Undecided

Well then, on day 5 of our voyage, we reached Vladivostok, Russia. Contrary to what people normally think about Russia being a real fantastic place, this part of Russia is really not that fantastic. We joined the shore excursion from Princess in the morning for some sightseeing and were really disappointed as the guides were actually inexperienced students doing part-time. After the tour, Priscilla and I went to explore on our own. Despite the cold weather, I just couldn't resist having one of those huge, wonderful ice cream and i finally tempted Priscilla to share with me. It was really huge and they actually weighed it for the costs! It was really cheap too! Yummm... As usual, we tried to find some places to shop and were trying to locate that Mango store that we passed by while on the bus (during shore excursion) but we just couldnt find it. In the end, we had lunch at one of the fast food lodges and made our way back to the ship. It was another night of drinking and music at Club Fusion. Imagine even a hot chocolate drink have alcohol content! Yell(Sick of alcohol by this time)

 *Sapphire at Russia

*Monument to 3 Whales (look more like seals to me)

 *At Eagle's Nest Hill

*We were at Central Square (nothingness)

*You can't see my eyes, can u?

*C-56 Submarine used in WWI or WWII?

 *Inside the sub-marine

*Love those balconies* Kinda remind me of the show "Notting Hill"

 *Absolute goodness~

*IT was huge! (Oops-ice cream smudge!)

 *Along the cold, cold street...

 *Fluffy angel looks harmless

The Old Guitarist, 1903

If thou must love me, let it be for nought Except for love's sake only.

Do not say, I love her for her smile, her look, her way of speaking gently, for a trick of thought that falls in well with mine, and, certes, brought a sense of pleasant ease on such a day.

For these things in themselves, Beloved, may be changed, or change for thee- and love so wrought, may be unwrought so.

Browning, Elizabeth Barrett
