She May be the face I can't forget The trace of pleasure or regret May be my treasure or the price I have to pay

She May be the song that summer sings May be the chill that autumn brings May be a hundred different things Within the measure of a day

She May be the beauty or the beast May be the famine or the feast May turn each day into a heaven or a hell

She may be the mirror of my dreams The smile reflected in a stream She may not be what she may seem Inside her shell

That was a cold night
10.31.06 (11:22 pm)   [edit]

(Day 4 - 17 Oct) That was a cold night, somewhat similar to today, but perhaps its not the night that is cold. Perhaps it might just be me.

Well, I was watching a korean VCD drama a little while ago. The title is "A Wonderful Life" and it depicts a story about how 2 strangers met in a foreign land and have their lives entwined with a baby because of a one night stand. Initially, the guy kept blaming the lady for giving birth to the child but subsequently, they fell in love. The bad news is the baby. now an adorable 5 years old gal, have leukiemia? I don't know how to spell it but you get the idea. I have to admit that i am a sap and i just can't stop crying watching the moving parts. *blushes*

Anyway, today I am gonna talk about my day 4 onboard Sapphire. It was another leisurely day at sea. By the time we woke up and got ready for breakfast, they were already serving lunch! (I missed the sunrise again.)Well, in our terms, we were enjoying our "brunch". *shrugs* I can't remember much except that it was a really lazy day. I ended up continuing my painting of ceramic saucers while watching people play table tennis! That night, we had dinner at Savoy Dining, another fine dining restaurant, where we met an interesting waiting staff from Romania. He is my Italian language "professor-la" (meaning teacher) while i taught him some simple Japanese terms. It was a fair trade off. *winks* So here's 2 useful phrases i learnt. For the guys, tell your gal friend "Ti-a-mor" (i love you!) and for ladies fending off unwanted suitors "No Ti-a-mor" (i dont love you!). Hee... that's about all, it was another night of drinking at club fusion. Enjoy the pics~

My ceramic painting project~

Fine dining dinner nightly consists of: Bread with butter, appetizer, soup, salad (i usually omit it), main dish & dessert... and now you wonder why we gained weight? Look on...

 Yummy appetizer (Scallops with avacado!)

That looks to gd to be true - Grilled Pork Steak speciality~

Butterscotch ice-cream that melted after my language lesson!

Here we go again
10.30.06 (3:45 pm)   [edit]

One exam paper down, one more to go next week, and i will be free for the year! I kinda like that thought. Haha... Well then, back to my onboard and offshore expeditions! Day 3 found Priscilla and me leaving our footprints around the town of Nagasaki. It was easy to get around with a map and through the help of the electric trams. Our first stop was at the Peace Garden, whereby the infamous peace statue stands. After that, we proceed on to our shopping adventure (which fails horribly in the end) but not before we tasted some authentic Jap gyozas at one of the foodstand.

We ended up at the Chinatown area to do some shopping but as mentioned, it was a disaster coz there's nothing much to shop, so we just take in the scenery, pretty jap gals and busy walkways with delicious-looking eating places. How could we resist the temptations? Yea, we cant, so we gave up shopping to eat! Haha, along the way, we met a family (also cruising on Princess) from Philippines and they are really interesting. Apparently, they were onboard Sapphire Princess on the previous voyage and the current one was a continuation! Ahh.. what carefree lives people lead! ^envy^

 Mode of Transport = Trams

We are at Town of Nagasaki! *Happy to be onshore*

Something's in the air
10.29.06 (10:42 pm)   [edit]

I reckon it must have rained just now (without my knowing) coz there's that fresh earthy smell in the air (after raining) that always get to me. That plus all the lovely songs on the radio reminds me of other nights long ago. In anyway, i had given up on studying for the night (though im not done yet and tomorrow is my exams) coz i kept dozing off. It's weird though how i am becoming more energetic with every word that i am typing now. Sealed

Anyway, back to Princess Cruises... They do have something call "formal nights" where everyone dresses up prettily in gowns/cocktail dresses and tuxs for the guys. Another feature of the formal night are the photographers available to take pictures for you. All the pictures will then be put up at the photo gallery available for purchase. Did i forget to mention how people will pamper themselves at the spa for the whole day just to get ready for the night? Innocent Our second night onboard happened to be one of the formal nights and we spent almost 2 hours trying to get ready. That night, we had dinner at Pacific Moon (which turned out to be our fave fine-dining restaurant in the end) and we also got to know a few friendly crews. The one serving us became a good friend to us eventually. His name is Elvis and coincidentally (or maybe not!:p) he loves to sing. Surprised Thinking back, it really seemed funny. Well then, after dinner, there are clubs or theatre performances to go to... and there goes another relaxing day that seems to pass unknowingly!

PS: not many pics at the moment coz some of the pics are with my colleague. Hee, bear with the visuals for the time being then. *winks*

Finally ready to go... *almost* We finally 'got ready' or almost done. Hee..

Trying to let Ry know i used the clip she gave me!

 Pretty Priscilla~

The captain delivers a speech & welcome all onboard.

I am back!
10.28.06 (9:22 pm)   [edit]

Hi guys, i'm back! It seems like 2 weeks had gone by in a flash and no matter how boring the cruise sometimes was (whilst at sea), I kinda miss it and wish i do not have to come back and work! Hee... Well, overall it was quite a fun experience. We made some friends onboard and it really is true how you meet all kinds of people while holidaying. That's my favorite and saddest part out of travelling too. That's coz i enjoy meeting new people but its so hard to say goodbye when the time arrives coz we develop affections for our newfound friends. That plus the unappealing pile of work awaiting u s at office keeping us away for as long as possible. Why can't time standstill?! :p

2 weeks ago, at this time i was getting myself orientated onboard and taking some pictures of the beautiful and huge ferris wheel just besides the Osaka port that Sapphire Princess is docked at. Bear with me guys! I will probably be talking about the cruise for some time. Hee, as requested by Mr. Photographer (i kept seeing panda soft toys!), please refer to the below for some pics that i took at Osaka, Japan (embarkation area). I am still sorting out photos so that's for Day 1 and some of Day 2 at sea. (Mr. Photographer, wait awhile more for the pics of yummy food!)

Just arrived at KIX airport. <14/10/06>

Sapphire Princess - our floating hotel for 12 days

Ferris wheel (intrigues KaZ) & it lights up!

 Blue, blue sea~

Priscilla & Me enjoying the sea breeze and warmth of sun! We didnt realised we were facing see-through sunshaded glass from one of the restaurant and people looked on while we took pics! *embarassingly funny*

The only sunset i managed to captured on Day 2.

That's all for today, folks! Sleep deprived KaZ is a grouchy monster with disheveled hair. I have yet to study for my exam on Mon! Tough luck, gotta start studying soon. Cya people around!

Cruising from KaZ's point of view
10.20.06 (10:07 pm)   [edit]

So hi there, my friends! For those of you who had not realised the missing of my existence, i am actually stuck onboard the Sapphire Princess on an Asian voyage. We had just departed from Pusan, South Korea, and is heading for Dalian, China, next. It's kinda boring onboard here coz its all old people and the only young people are the crews and well... ok, i dont wanna go into details there.

I have to admit though, this is a very relaxing way of life. Suitable for one who has lotsa tme to spare. Aw well, i shouldnt complain since its free and everyone is envying but... sigh! Okie, i shal not complain further, i will probably upload the pics only when im home so.. cya guys around!

The Old Guitarist, 1903

If thou must love me, let it be for nought Except for love's sake only.

Do not say, I love her for her smile, her look, her way of speaking gently, for a trick of thought that falls in well with mine, and, certes, brought a sense of pleasant ease on such a day.

For these things in themselves, Beloved, may be changed, or change for thee- and love so wrought, may be unwrought so.
