She
May be the face I can't forget
The trace of pleasure or regret
May be my treasure or the price I have to pay
She
May be the song that summer sings
May be the chill that autumn brings
May be a hundred different things
Within the measure of a day
She
May be the beauty or the beast
May be the famine or the feast
May turn each day into a heaven or a hell
She may be the mirror of my dreams
The smile reflected in a stream
She may not be what she may seem
Inside her shell
Monday night was Ting's wedding day (the chinese version). Ting's an ex colleague of mine from MB and well, time at MB was short but fufilling, meaning I got to know & keep quite a few nice friends from there. Anyway, I was hoping to see familar faces at the wedding and i was not disappointed as i finally saw Shuting, after what seems like close to a year, since i left the company? Hee... My cute friend is still as cute as ever and growing prettier so. Gail and Hilda were there too, and it was great catching up with them as usual.
Chef Chan is really quite a good place to host a wedding dinner. The decor is beautiful, music was great coz its jazz and the food tasted yummy. Ting took several of her wedding photos at the same venue and *whistles* the photographer is a genius! All the pictures look so nice that we couldn't stop oohings and ahhings at the photos. Hee. *embarassed* Weddings are just such lovely affairs. I love attending Weddings!
This is interesting stuff indeed. I was surfing through blogs and found this. *Kept me amused for awhile* Hee, i tried out several different photos and mostly the resemblences that i was matched with, were too flattering to be true! Imagine me looking alike to Zhang Ziyi, Gong Li, Charlene Choi, Joey Yung and Michelle Branch etc? What a laugh indeed.
Nonetheless, the celebrity that i was most often matched to, is Uteo Aya whom i have no idea who she is. Her eyes are so much bigger. *sighs* The rest of the impossible matches are as follows too.
Peggy's Birthday Celebration @ the Rice Table & IMF
These pictures were actually taken last weekend. We had dinner at the Rice Table at Suntec City and it was really inconvenient to access the mall due to the IMF that was being held then. Security was tighter than usual and we have to go in circles before we finally find an entrance to the mall. Some of us were really upset by these inconvenience and this led me to wonder about the words of my tutor. In relations to the IMF, is it really beneficial to the host community and are we really ready and willing to embrace these foreign delegates to our home country? I am not sure how great the benefits are but all in all, one have to admit that it is really a honor to be able to host one of the most important world event.
Anyway, we went to explore the island's longest bridge (guess where?) after dinner and boy! It is indeed a long way but well worth it after you reached the destination. I definately wanna go back there to take a picture next time. *that's when i finally get a decent camera, i supposed* Well then, enjoy the pics!
[Lulu Tong was one of the many examples of a chinese woman who fell in love with a foreigner but whose love was betrayed due to obstacles like opposing parents from both side. The woman ended up alone in the foreign land (Singapore) but she made a name for herself by opening a restaurant and ending up with a successful life after several years of struggle. A woman true to her love, she died as a spinster, providing delicious dishes to the public, that used to be her lover's favorite dishes.]
Earlier this evening, I was at the Royal Peacock Boutique Hotel's restuarant: Aunty Tong's with Peggy for dinner. It rained shortly after we entered so we are good and warm in shelter. The place is a combination of East and West and the food are passable. What intrigues me and caught my interest though was the story of Aunty Tong's (as depicted in the menu and explained in a more detailed manner than I did above). The decor of the place is also quite nice and the best thing? They played nice chinese jazzy music of the sixties or seventies, which makes the place seem very relaxing. Go try it sometimes, guys!
The captivating Aunty Tong's and what lies outside the Restaurant.

I was walking home this evening when I saw a few kids playing a game at the playground. A childhood game, which i had totally forgotten until i saw it. Monkey is game whereby two person passes the ball to one another without letting the third person "the Monkey" standing in between the two, catches that ball. After an hour contemplation of where's the appeal or reason behind the game, I finally realised some answers. Well you see, I recalled the laughters and stitches in stomach behind these games when I was young but as the adult me; i simply can't see what was so funny/fun, catching or dodging balls.
Conclusion?
Perhaps, true joy are such. Plain feelings without any thoughts or reasons... An adult feels happy when they win a lottery, got a car or when someone sing their praises etc. All these are fufilled via material needs or most often than not, are related to a person's ego/vainness. A child, in retrospect, feels joy by indulging in senseless games such as the Monkey, seeing their favorite person in the world or just drinking their favourite chocolate milk... Somehow, that makes me wish I can be an adult yet stays as a kid.
This Endearing Baby was sleeping underneath my stool when I was having my lunch at the Tg Pagar Market this afternoon. Her stomach is really huge and I think she's due to give birth anytime. Hope she will not be in too much pain. It's heartwarming to see her sleeping so soundly~
I guessed the rain is a sign for me to sleep early. I keep dozing off at work and on the train today. Zzzzz... Maybe I will be able to enter the holy land of dreams, and maybe I will find my place in the dream. So long, guys~
I was at Sentosa with Phoebe last evening. Initiallly, our main motive was to attend some "Arabian Night" events but the "sotong" me mixed up the dates, and the event will actually be starting next week. (Log on to: www.sentosa.com.sg if you are interested to find out more.) Well then, we had a really filling dinner for 2 hrs, filling does not equates tastiness though. In actual fact, the standard of the food.... is 1 star. Boo!
Well then, Sentosa is really really quiet when no event is going on. We ended up lying on siloso beach, enjoying whatever scarce breeze there is, with the 1/2 moon and lovey mood of couples smooching 30 feets away from us. *cringes* Anyway, i really like the peaceful feeling of lying on the beach and just enjoying the night, makes me sleepy and wanna spend the night! The following are some photos for perusal. Enjoy~

Last but not least, a self portrait. Color is weird becoz the flash light of the HP was too bright and this is the best it can be adjusted too. So long then~
With some people solitariness is an escape not from others but from themselves. For they see in the eyes of others only a reflection of themselves. ~Eric Hoffer
I wonder how true the above quote is. Somehow,I just can't relate myself to that though. Therefore, I declare that it is most often than not, an escape from others, rather than myself... but. maybe i should try to be more out-going huh? Life's been a bore.
The Old Guitarist, 1903
If thou must love me, let it be for nought Except for love's sake only.
Do not say, I love her for her smile, her look, her way of speaking gently, for a trick of thought that falls in well with mine, and, certes, brought a sense of pleasant ease on such a day.
For these things in themselves, Beloved, may be changed, or change for thee- and love so wrought, may be unwrought so.
